The likelihood of a third wave of pandemic H1N1 influenza appears to be declining as all indicators of swine-flu activity remain low throughout the bulk of the country, according to new data released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"Nobody can say for sure that we are totally out of the woods, but the further we go into spring and summer, the less likely we are to see another wave," said CDC spokesman Tom Skinner.
It would not surprise the agency to see some local activity of the virus "continue to percolate along," he added.

It took nearly a year, but China on Friday became the last nation to lift its ban on buying U.S. pork.
For hog producers in Minnesota and beyond, it marked the close of a dismal chapter, when panic over the H1N1 virus — widely nicknamed the swine flu — crippled an already-hurting industry.
'We've been short on good news for a long time,' said David Preisler, executive director of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association.

In some cases, financial institutions and other recipients got doses before some county health departments and doctors' offices, according to records obtained by The Associated Press through a Freedom ...

For generations, helmers like Mel Gibson have fallen in love with Mexico as a backdrop, perhaps starting the day John Huston jumped off a boat at the Port of Veracruz in 1925.
But love alone isn't enough to sustain Mexico as a competitive location with a host of Latin America locales, only a bit further than Mexico, like Colombia, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica arming themselves with hefty incentive programs and enticingly low pay scales.
Mexico was seeing one or two international shoots per year until last year, when the swine flu and the economic crisis added to other local problems.

I would like to share you all my secret how I protect my kids against swine flu...I use this product called pure Green 24 6 mos or so ago a friend of mine give me a sample of this product she told me the story how her fiancee did not get the swine flu when he was sitting next to a passenger on a plane that had the virus, most of the passenger was quarantine in Hong Kong and 25 others got infected except for his fiancee, why? because before he went on board he uses to spray pure green all over his body specially on hand and on the nose(nostril), now I been using this for my self and my kids everyday a couple days my kids came home and told me a story that most of the kids in class are sick and parents still keep sending kids to school even if they are sick because school are allowing kids to attend school even if they're sick as long as they are free of fever within 24 hours.. the fact that they don't know about germs can spread when a person is coughing or sneezing you don't have to have a fever to spread germs, so parents protect your kids like I do....
